The mandarin plant (Citrus nobilis) is an evergreen native to Asia Minor (Turkey). It was introduced to Italy by the Arabs, particularly in Calabria and Sicily.
Cold-pressed from the fruit peel, it produces a highly fragrant and sweet essential oil.
Its main functions are: sebum-regulating and detoxifying, especially for oily and blemish-prone skin; elasticizing and stimulating peripheral circulation; digestive; in aromatherapy, the oil is very useful as a relaxant and sleep aid, with a beneficial effect on mood.
