FosfaComplex E.O. is available in a selected range based on particular cosmetic and aromatherapeutic properties.
Ginger is obtained from Zingiber officinale, a plant of the Zingiberaceae family.
The plant is a perennial herb, native to India and widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. The root (called rhizome) is fleshy and densely branched, producing both long sterile hollow stems with lanceolate leaves and short fertile shoots with yellow-green flowers spotted with red, resembling spikes. The rhizome is harvested after flowering, when the plant turns yellow.
The essential oil, with a strong aromatic and spicy scent, is extracted by steam distillation from the dried roots, with the peel intact.
Its functions include: warming, energizing, and stimulating, as a “hot” spice for circulation and the entire body; tonic and refreshing; anti-nausea, aiding digestion; also helpful against colds and rheumatic pain.
Available fragrances besides Ginger: Bitter Orange, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Melissa, Mint, Myrrh, Patchouli, Black Pepper, Grapefruit, Sandalwood, and Vetiver.
