Lavender (in this case, Lavandula Hybrida) is cultivated along the Mediterranean coasts up to about 1700 meters in altitude.
The oil is extracted through steam distillation from the flowers.
Lavender essential oil is very useful for overall body relaxation. Among its many benefits, lavender is a friend of relaxation and sleep: due to its aroma, it is calming and relaxing, promoting nerve relaxation; it also aids sleep, helps counter nervousness and anxiety, and assists in relieving joint and muscle discomfort. On the skin, it is soothing and balancing in cases of redness, promotes cellular regeneration, and in this way helps rejuvenate mature skin. It is particularly suitable in massages against muscle pain and general tension, and finally, it is calming, antidepressant, and stimulates the immune system.
